Multitouch Soon On Droid?
Posted by admin in Droid News on December 17, 2009
The recent jailbreaking of the Motorola Droid has unlocked many possibilities for programmers to take advantage of the powerful phone.
When the Droid was first jailbroken, only a week ago, there was speculation that multitouch would be one of the first new features to be released for the Droid.
And just a week later, it looks like multitouch is confirmed. One programmer has migrated the Motorola Milestone’s (the UK Droid, with multitouch) firmware to an American Droid. The final release may be two to three weeks away.

GSM Droid & T-Mobile?
Posted by admin in Droid News on December 12, 2009
The Motorola Droid was recently released in the UK, though it’s known there as the “Motorola Milestone.” While that is, more or less, a GSM Droid, it does not use the same frequencies GSM carriers AT&T and T-Mobile use here, in the US.
There have been rumors that the Motorola Droid will not always be a Verizon exclusive phone, however.
According to this article, a document leaked by Motorola shows that there are plans for T-Mobile to carry their own GSM version of the Motorola Droid.
So if you’re looking to purchase a Droid/Milestone in the UK, I advise you to check out Amazon.co.uk
To American customers hoping for a GSM Droid: you may have to wait, but it looks like there will be a GSM Droid after all.
Though if you’d rather not wait, get a Droid with Verizon through Amazon or Wirefly, the two sites with the best deals on the net.
