Wirefly has further lowered the price of the HTC Droid Eris!

The Droid Eris, which first cost $79.99, then $49.99, is now only $9.99!

The Droid Eris is a respectable alternative to the Motorola Droid.

Though the Droid Eris is currently running on Android 1.5, you can expect the Droid Eris to be upgraded to at least Android 2.0, if not Android 2.1 early next year!  That means the phone would have Google Navagation, just like the Motorola Droid!

Don’t wait, as this doesn’t look like it will be a deal that lasts forever!  Especially the free activation incentive (which is an additional $35 in savings)!

Only two weeks after the launch of the Motorola Droid, the brand new smartphone from Verizon and Motorola has grabbed hold of nearly 25% of all cellular traffic by Android phones!

Many users, once tentative about jumping into the Andriod market, seem to be making good use of their brand new Droid‘s along with the applications available through the Android Marketplace.

Sandy Castaneda has written about her experience with the HTC Droid Eris.

Castaneda decided to go with the Eris to save $100 (though if she had seen BuyDroidPhones.com she would know she was really only saving $50…). Seems she’s developed buyer’s remorse.

Castaneda wishes she had spent on the Motorola Droid for its keyboard, processing power, Android 2.0, and because after buying apps to make the Eris do what the Droid can do out-of-the-box, the Eris isn’t such a hot deal.
