<p>Though the major brick-and-mortar retailers are charging $200 (with a service plan) for a Motorola Droid, you can get your own Droid for much less!</p>
<p><strong>Think of what you could do with an extra $50 in your pocket&#8230;</strong></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>There are <strong>two sites I recommend</strong> you visit:</p>
<p><strong>1) <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=44yPShX779A&#038;offerid=138108.10000384&#038;type=3&#038;subid=0" >Wirefly.com</a></strong></p>
<p>I bought my Droid from <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=44yPShX779A&#038;offerid=138108.10000384&#038;type=3&#038;subid=0" >Wirefly</a> and was very pleased with the experience. I was able to sign up for a new service plan, <strong>spend only $150</strong> on the actual Droid hardware, and then got <strong>free shipping via Fed-Ex</strong>. Again, great option and great price.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>2) <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&#038;location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FMotorola-Droid-A855-Verizon-Wireless%2Fdp%2FB002UUTCKC%3Fie%3DUTF8%26s%3Dwireless%26qid%3D1258599978%26sr%3D1-1&#038;tag=bu0e6-20&#038;linkCode=ur2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325">Amazon.com</a></strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&#038;location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FMotorola-Droid-A855-Verizon-Wireless%2Fdp%2FB002UUTCKC%3Fie%3DUTF8%26s%3Dwireless%26qid%3D1258599978%26sr%3D1-1&#038;tag=bu0e6-20&#038;linkCode=ur2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325">Amazon</a> has been selling more than just books for quite a while now.</p>
<p>In fact, <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&#038;location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FMotorola-Droid-A855-Verizon-Wireless%2Fdp%2FB002UUTCKC%3Fie%3DUTF8%26s%3Dwireless%26qid%3D1258599978%26sr%3D1-1&#038;tag=bu0e6-20&#038;linkCode=ur2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325">Amazon</a> has quietly become one of the Internet&#8217;s premier retailers for cell phones.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&#038;location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FMotorola-Droid-A855-Verizon-Wireless%2Fdp%2FB002UUTCKC%3Fie%3DUTF8%26s%3Dwireless%26qid%3D1258599978%26sr%3D1-1&#038;tag=bu0e6-20&#038;linkCode=ur2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325">Amazon</a> released their <strong>$150 Droid</strong> deal about a day after <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=44yPShX779A&#038;offerid=138108.10000384&#038;type=3&#038;subid=0" >Wirefly</a> had. Personally, I&#8217;m glad I went with <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=44yPShX779A&#038;offerid=138108.10000384&#038;type=3&#038;subid=0" >Wirefly</a>, but I&#8217;ve heard good things about <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&#038;location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FMotorola-Droid-A855-Verizon-Wireless%2Fdp%2FB002UUTCKC%3Fie%3DUTF8%26s%3Dwireless%26qid%3D1258599978%26sr%3D1-1&#038;tag=bu0e6-20&#038;linkCode=ur2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325">Amazon&#8217;s</a> service from others. As always, definitely a great option.</p>

<p><strong>Flurry </strong>has released results of its study on the Droid&#8217;s first week launch.</p>
<p>By studying the number of unique handsets accessing Android apps through Droid phones, Flurry estimates that there were nearly <strong>250,000 Droids sold during their first week on the market</strong>.</p>
<p>The number of Motorola Droids sold is impressive. To put the sales in perspective, compare the <strong>Droid&#8217;s launch</strong> (in the US only) to the the iPhone 3GS, which launched in 8 different countries simultaneously. The Droid sold <strong>250,000</strong> times in one country; the iPhone sold 1.6 million times in <strong>8 countries</strong>.</p>
<p>Because of the Droid&#8217;s strong launch, the analysts at Flurry foresee the <strong>Android</strong> making inroads into Apple&#8217;s smartphone market share.</p>
<p><strong>To sum it up:</strong> &#8220;Furthermore, Flurry has monitored a sharp increase in new Android project starts by application developers within its system, a <strong>94% jump in October compared to September</strong>. The launch of <strong>Droid</strong> signals the beginning of a <strong>viable platform alternative to the iPhone</strong> as <strong>Android</strong> builds critical mass. As major companies continue to vie for a piece of the exploding Smartphone market, <strong>the consumer has never had more choice and innovation in the mobile industry.</strong>&#8221;</p>
