New Motorola Droid Pro Coming Soon
According to a leak, Verizon and Motorola are preparing to launch the Motorola Droid Pro.
The Motorola Droid Pro will be nearly the same phone as the Motorola Droid 2, though equipped to handle calls worldwide on both CDMA/EV-DO networks and GSM/HSPA networks.
The Droid 2 was released in August, 2010. Intended to replace the original Motorola Droid, the Droid 2 kept the same award-winning design as the Droid, but was re-engineered with faster hardware.
Powered by a 1GHz processor and Android 2.1 (with Android 2.2 on the way), the Droid 2 is a great phone for those looking for a smartphone with a vivid touchscreen and slideout keyboard.
The upgraded camera on the Droid 2 can also take high quality motion video, which is easily uploaded to YouTube.
And on Verizon’s 3G network, the Droid 2 has a fast data connection nearly anywhere you might travel. Of course, the Droid 2 also comes with an 802.11b/g/n connection for super-fast speeds when you’re able to connect to a local hotspot.
The Droid 2 and Droid Pro carry over the GPS capabilities of the original Droid, so that you can travel without a dedicated GPS system in your car. Using Google Maps, Google’s free navigation app, the Droid 2 and Droid Pro will take you anywhere you need to go and show you street-level pictures of your destinations upon your arrival.
Stay tuned for more information about the upcoming Motorola Droid Pro. The Droid Pro is set to become the premier Android phone on the Verizon network for anyone who travels overseas, likely at the same price, if not close in price, as the current Droid 2.

Current Motorola Droid 2 Deals
There are currently awesome Droid 2 deals available online. These online deals cannot be matched by deals offered by your local electronics retailer.
Check out Amazon Wireless’ Droid 2 page for excellent savings and free shipping.
Wirefly also runs its own Droid 2 deals, all with free shipping.
Compare the deals offered on Amazon and Wirefly. If you’re getting a Droid 2 with a new two-year service plan, one site may offer a better deal than the other. The same advice applies if you will be upgrading/extending a current contract or adding an additional line to a current contract.

Motorola Droid X: Slimmed Down, Impressive Hardware
Motorola is close to launching two new Droid phones later this year.
According to various leaks made public across the Internet, the Droid X will be a slimmed down version of the Droid, designed without a keyboard. Pictures of the Droid X reveal that the phone will ship with an updated version of MotoBLUR, perhaps called ShadowBlur or NinjaBlur.
Android 2.1 will come installed as the Droid X‘s operating system.
Looking at pictures posted across the Internet, the Droid X looks to have a high-definition touch screen that will rival the Evo 4g‘s 4.3-inch touchscreen.
GadgetU.net has the details on the Droid X‘s specs:
We got a early hands on with the Motorola Droid Xtreme today and wanted to give you guys some details on the specs. The build quality is very similar to what we all expect from Motorola. SOLID. The screen is awesome and the colors are much better than the Droid. Motorola did not use an AMOLED screen. Possibly the same type of IPS screen used on the Droid.
