Another update to the Motorola Droid’s operating system is on its way.

Android 2.1, currently only running on the Nexus One, will be pushed onto Motorola Droid phones sometime (possibly) in the coming week.

Motorola Droid users may be able to expect multi-touch and improved battery life with the upgrade to Android 2.1.

News of the Droid’s imminent upgrade was leaked by a Motorola forum administrator.
