WSJ: Motorola Droid Sales Update

The Wall Street Journal has posted some news on how the Motorola Droid has sold since its launch.
Many Verizon stores have less than half their initial inventory, with some claiming to have only a few Droids left.
Sales were strong launch day, though there weren’t long lines at stores for the launch like there was for the iPhone’s launch.
One analyst expects nearly 1 million Droids to be sold in the fourth quarter of this business year.
Current Verizon customers are expected to embrace the new phone because Verizon is widely believed to have the best wireless network across the United States.

Droid or Eris? Droid Please.

Sandy Castaneda has written about her experience with the HTC Droid Eris.
Castaneda decided to go with the Eris to save $100 (though if she had seen BuyDroidPhones.com she would know she was really only saving $50…). Seems she’s developed buyer’s remorse.
Castaneda wishes she had spent on the Motorola Droid for its keyboard, processing power, Android 2.0, and because after buying apps to make the Eris do what the Droid can do out-of-the-box, the Eris isn’t such a hot deal.
